A Road for Haiti

Inauguration of the road in 2016

In the fall of 2012, we visited a dispersed and weakened population in the mountains of the Massif of the Central Plateau. The only way to get there was by excursions that took hours, and it was necessary to carry what supplies we could and use mules and donkeys for the rest. People lived there without running water, without electricity, and without access to the road system, and as a result, they did not have access to health care and education.

It was in response to these needs that Peer Servants Canada launched the project “A Road for Haiti,” in partnership with Église Évangélique Source de Vie, and Le Chemin.

In February 2016, the project was completed and we proceeded with the inauguration of the 13 km road.
