Thanks to our Canadian partners and volunteers, seminars were given to teachers from the Lafuite school, in a high, mountainous, remote area of Haiti. As 90% of the instructors were untrained, the workshops helped tremendously to improve their performance. Experienced Canadian teachers from Peer Servants Canada provided 80 hours of formal training.
Similar seminars were given to the teachers of the United Evangelical School in Port-au-Prince. While the seminars were being taught, teams of carpenters were able to build new desks and benches for the students.
